Dr David Shaye, his wife Jessica and three wonderful children Maya, Samara & Catalaya; make up the ProjectLife family.

Dr. David Shaye is a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon and has been teaching and learning from local surgeons in several African countries & the United States. Jessica has been filming/producing feature stories for CNN International, connecting their ideas/impacts with a global audience.

David and Jessica created ProjectLife International, a family-run nonprofit, in 2022. Efforts have focused on surgical training and equipping surgeons in the Global South, helping vulnerable children through partnerships, and creating literacy/ learning opportunities for children in rural areas.

ProjectLife has partnered with KHSF, and provided essential support, funding and encouragement in achieving its core mandate since 2025.

ProjectLife is working on similar projects with local partners in Nepal and Zimbabwe.
